Peter Morgan I left home when I was 18 and spent 5 years travelling and working at a variety of jobs, from a motorcycle messenger to the oil terminals in the Orkney Islands, and then to South East Asia, Australia, and India. On my return I studied photography and film and for 6 years worked as an artist, illustrator and teacher in London. Romance moved me to the Emerald Isle, I bought the chickens and continued working. My practice has always been diverse: photography, video, text, collage, and 3-D objects. “Every force evolves a form.” The work has been commissioned, published, broadcast, exhibited and collected. The process is often collaborative in nature. With writer Judy Kravis I produce artists' books. Video commissions include works for:- Daghdha Dance Company, and Cursaí Ealaíne, RTE 1.

Kieran Whitelaw I have lived in Ireland for 30 years. I was always going to do art in some shape or form, because it is in me. At the age of 24 I was walking across O’ Connell Bridge and realized I had emigrated and a whole new chapter of my life began. Thirty Years on, with my wife and four children, I have no regrets about that choice. I enjoy teaching, so much it is not a job. I have to say Irish students are a joy to work with and over the years I have met so many people involved in ceramics and they feel like family. For the future, I would like a bit more space for self-development. As stated in the book the Alchemist (by Paulo Coelho) it is the journey not the destination that is important.
